In 2010 we journeyed to Morocco with OAT. This is a Muslim country with a King who is very modern. The result is very liberal. The western part of the country is green with many farms. The Atlas Mountains split the country in two so the eastern part is in the Sahara Desert, a more common picture of Morocco. Click on the image to enlarge.
The architecture is very exotic!
Adobe bricks are commonly used for construction. They last about 100 years with frequent repairs.
A common site is doing the laundry in the local river.
Light streams through the bizaar as we walk and shop.
In the Sahara we were introduced to camels. Unfortunately there was a sand storm which prevented our staying in a tent overnight.
We did a camel trek, Karen is to the left and Pam, our friend, to the right.
